They're loud. I shoot a 14.5" barreled ar15 with one, and it gets more than a few remarks. I'm going to be retiring it for that reason (when the rest of my parts arrive) didn't know it was this loud when I bought it. It really makes it shoot flat, but god damn, it's loud.
Oh, it spits a bit of fire on a 14.5 too. At night it works as an emergency beacon, or very short timed flashlight.
