What 44 mag lever to buy??

The Winchester/Miroku 1892's are quite nice. The Marlin 1894's are fun to shoot too ( mine is in .45 Colt), but aren't quite as well built in my opinion. They are easier to take apart and clean, and have more options for sights. The 1892 cycles super smoothly. I like them both so it'd be hard to choose.

My marlin 44mag jm was jam-o-matic, i have had 4 marlins but only the 44 mag jm had the jam, also issues with front sight as the screw threads are not deep enough.

If i was to buy a new 44mag and had your budget, I would look at Henry

Rossi Puma was a good economical one, till they screwed it up by adding a receiver top safety to it. But used ones can be found without this.

I have to chime in on this one.
The marlin 1894 in 44 and all current marlin are worth a very hard look.
I have one in 357 and it’s possibly my favorite lever and my 336 was a tack driver also!
Of course the Winchester are always amazing at a much higher price.

Marlin 1894 dark, sbl, cb or the base 1894. I have all of them and they are all awesome!

I also have Henry big boy in many calibers and they are great, quality rifles. Just different. Check the exchange for a brand new big boy 44 for sale

I like the 94. I would sell you mine but it's 45 Colt. :)
