I have decided i want another 7mm,but can't decide which one. Do i want a mag,08,.280,7x57 or .284? I don't need this rifle, that's why i want one. lol. I have had several of all these except a 7mm-08 and .284, so i'm kinda leaning toward one of them.. I have been thinking a blr 81, but not sure yet. What do you guys think?

Dave.

I share your love of 7mms,at the moment I have a .280,a .280AI,and a 7SAUM.I think I'm going to reaquire the .284Win I sold last year.Like you I don't need it but I want it back! Mur

I like anything that fires a .284" bullet...I have had 6 different 7mm chamberings at one time...but I think I only have three right now...4 of 7mm Rem Mags (2 700's and two Sakos)..a 7mm-08 and a 280.....

get a 7WSM in the new Model 70 Extreme Weather...or a Featherweight....

If you don't care how many in the mag - 7mm Mag
280's are #2

Haven't tried a WSM yet, maybe they're the best?

7 Gibbs would be fun. know of one in a 21H but he wants too much. Been sheep hunting with it and the stock has been cut down. Chambered by Gibbs himself so the story goes.

Saw a 7x64 in a ZZK 600 not long ago but my memory is not coming up with the locale.

280AI always seemed like fun too.

Nugget just got a Win 70 with a 26" pipe in 7 Rem Mag. He's trying to get a 7mm Ruger built with it. He was told he should get between Weatherby and RUM velocities in that chambering. Completely unnecessary but he has a bad case of needing to have the biggest and baddest.f:P:
He didn't like it when I told him to just sell it and get a real gun.:p

I like to be different. I sold my 7mm Rem Mag and now have a 7mm SAUM. I have only shot it at paper so far but it's a good shooter.

Go for a 7 x 57-- a really classic calibre ("developed for military service around 1892.....and one of the oldest sporting cartridges still in active use").

Hard to beat that!

7mm-08 in a BLR with pistol Grip stock is a nice setup. You will have to find a used BLR if you want the 284 and they where only made with the straight stock which I never cared for but that is a personal thing. Look around for a Model 88 in 284, they are a nice choice.

I have a hankering to get a custom rifle made in 284win on a Winchester short action (classic) so you can seat the bullets out where they belong.
