Went to the Handgun Range for the first time is 1.5 years. I know its been too long. Went there with 2 of my best buddies who I haven't seen in forever as well. One of my friends is a CO at Kingston and he has since gotten into handgun shooting a bit and brought down his Smith and Wesson M&P which I have never shot one before, needless to say not bad. We also had another buddy with us who had never shot a handgun but is safe and eager to learn.

Anyways all I really have to say is it was a great time shooting ~ 350 9mm rounds between the 3 of us safely and having a good time and a few beers afterwards. Also finished my workbench.

Sorry if this isn't really an information packed thread I just wanted to say it was a great day and got to do something I haven't in a while and missed very much. I was impressed I was able to keep up to my buddy with my Ruger P89 in Targets we had a few little competitions as he shoots rather regularily lately and I was able to stay at least right along with him.

Anyways enough rambling just though I would post something positive and encourage anyone who hasn't shot in a while to get out there it is a great thing.

BGH.

I too had a great day! Slept in till 9 then went to the range and sighted in new scope on the 336. Then went coyote hunting for the rest of the day. 11 stands and 6 yotes in the bag. Plus a couple magpies and crows. Ended the day with a few brews with some friends. A really good day.

I had a great day too! Also, I went to one of the indoor gun range to shoot a M&P. What are the chances for two people who didn't shoot for a while shoot the same gun?

The M&P is a really nice gun as it recoils better to me. Shot 50 rounds down range and the M&P felt really nice and smooth.

I guess we can summarize that shooting IS fun.:D:shotgun:

I had a great day too! I went to my range and had some fun with my glock .40 and 250 rounds of ammo. Brought along a pumpkin too. I have to admit, it wasn't as clean as say..hickock 45's but I still had fun. Happy Halloween!
