What are your opinions on the 10" Rocky waterproof insulated hunting boots?

I've had great luck with several pairs of Rocky boots that I've owned. I think you have to differentiate between some of the Rocky models. The cheaper pairs, especially like those seen at Canadian Tire are not as good of quality as the higher end ones more commonly seen in independent stores.

But for those guys comparing Rocky to Meindl then I agree, there's not as much comparison in value nor in price. You can buy several pairs of Rocky for one pair of Meindl and Meindl's all need to be oiled for waterproofness.

My old Rocky Goretex boots are/were awesome. They were as waterproof as rubber boots for a decade.

I helped a heifer with a calf in a monsoon one year and was soaked to the skin, except inside my boots.

Last fall I walked into the lake to launch the boat and found out 1 had failed...

I think that Rocky built their name with quality goods and then let their product go to shyte in the name of profit...or so it sounds.

X2. Couldn't agree more. Still have a pair I bought 20 years ago. Excellent boots at that time and I've put lots of miles on them. Still going strong but retired them years ago and use them when mowing the wet lawn as they are just so comfy and still dry in the wet. That being said there is no way I would ever buy the new variant of junk

I got a pair of Rocky "scentlock" rubber boots. Came highly recomended.
They cracked first year, took 'em back, they replaced them free, but then they cracked the first year also.

IMO Rocky boots, while they may have been good in the past, are now CRAP.

Crap is an understatement. I'll never buy Rocky boots ever again.
