What are your thoughts on BCL SRV2 Grizzly .308?

It's BCL. I'll let others be the beta testers, because they clearly don't do much in house testing before releasing stuff...

I'm hopeful, but not optimistic given their track record...
Me neither, but heard Siberian is doing better with some folks. Then this is .308 so we do need first "beta testers" to see how it goes... At least price is very reasonable for .308 semi.

When you read the thread about the BCL Siberian owner shooting 2,000 rounds without problems, you get closer to the truth of the reliability of the rifle than some hillbilly from Prince George throwing it into the mud and filling up the chamber with little rocks. Don't you think so?

Personally I prefer a 556/223 to a 7.62x51/308, cheaper ammo and less recoil.

I agree that some cases are probably from poor handling/unrealistic torture test but there's still plenty of reliability issue and catastrophic failures reported from reputable/knowledgeable people. (Still better than Kodiak)

I do have a 5.56 semi that happily takes PMC M193 to 1-1.5 MOA, but would be nice to see .308 black rifle in $2k range and many would agree with me.

I still remember the time when a 308 semi automatic was $500 to 700, so $2K is quite a lot in my opinion. Of course that was 12/14 years ago.

To be honest, I would wait a little bit for first reviews, then order one from theammosource on one of their sales which is usually 15 % off and free shipping. Should be able to get that thing for $1,500 plus tax.

$2K is the new $800.

This is an interesting looking rifle. Essentially a beefed up AR180 platform for the 7.62N / 308. With the SR25 mag (and legal XCRM mags at 10 rounds).

Similar to the Crusader CRUX308 at a better price (under 2K). A side by side comparison of these two would be ideal.

However BCL is doing well at pricing this at $1899.00. Worst case is sending it back for warranty repairs. 7.62N Black Rifle. Shouldn’t this be in the “Battle Rifle” section?
