What cal? .243 or 6mm x 47 Lapua??

I went with a 7.5 Krieger for my next barrel. I would love to try some of those Sierra 110gr, but I think they will be unobtainium for a while.

OP says 600yds on dogs and 1000yds on gong. Would you pick a vmax or vld matxh bullet given those two goals? (If you had to pick just one)

If you had to pick just one bullet for both I would look at the 95gr TMK

The Creedmoor is a very capable cartridge as well. At this point you're splitting hairs anyway.

Just waiting on my Dies,,,factory 140 eld's shot 3/4" which I can live with in a worst case scenario.

I find it hard to believe that an improved 243 will get those numbers at reasonable pressures. There's only so much case capacity there. - dan

Lots of guys shooting it on Accurate shooter with the same results using the same powder combo. There are 3 rifles in Vancouver all cut on my reamer and all getting the same results. To be fair so far I have only ran the 105 hybrids and it more than lives up to the hype. 3250fps with no pressure signs at all. Mind you I run it at about 3150 because that's where the node is. I'm sitting at 600 rds down the pipe and still going strong. At those speeds its keeps up with the big 6.5s no problem. AND the brass is no issue. There are 2 reamers one for Winchester and one for Lapua. I have the Winchester reamer. $38/50 is great and I don't mind losing a few at that price.

Yeah the 6 Comp Match seems to be doing it so far. Haven't got to the rifle life as of yet but we shall see. I'll have it out at NSCC again if you want to have a look.
