Another post on the Uberti stalking rifle got me thinking. Since it's been over 10 years since we got the Ruger No. 1 in .303 British made here, what caliber would most like to see next? I'm actually having a hard time with this one...

I was thinking a caliber like the 5.7x28mm. Just an idea, as Ruger is already playing with pistols in this caliber... Again, just thinking out loud.

A No.1-A or RSI in .348 Winchester.

That does sound interesting. I was also thinking of the 45-90, I figure it's got to be a cartridge they haven't done yet & they both fit that bill. CGN unique but not too obscure that it won't even be considered. LOL!

You can easily chamber any .45/70 to .45/90 or .45/110 or .45/120... I did the later on a No.1-S.

I am aware of that, along with the ability to shoot 45-70 through a 45-90 when times are tough. Again just trying to gage the traction & what caliber most would be interested in. Last time it took 250 orders & me jumping around a few sites to see if it could happen. I believe the orders of initial .303's was something like a 100 to Canada, 100 to Australia & South Africa & approximately 50 were left in the States... I could be wrong on that, but it was something like that? The .348 Win is a good idea in my books.

I'll let it sit here for a few days to get an idea if there is a consensus on model & caliber. Maybe set up a poll once there are some front runners & genuine interest in getting another CGN order up & running. This could be fun...
