What caliber would like to see the Ruger No.1 in next?

I am aware of that, along with the ability to shoot 45-70 through a 45-90 when times are tough. Again just trying to gage the traction & what caliber most would be interested in. Last time it took 250 orders & me jumping around a few sites to see if it could happen. I believe the orders of initial .303's was something like a 100 to Canada, 100 to Australia & South Africa & approximately 50 were left in the States... I could be wrong on that, but it was something like that? The .348 Win is a good idea in my books.

These days, you have to get Lipsey's on board... fortunately, in several dialogues with them, a medium bore, rimmed cartridge is on their radar... we discussed both .348 Win and .356 Win as possibilites in an "A" model... they don't believe that Ruger will go for a .35 cal in the RSI.

I think your right about the A model. If I remember right, it was the same way last time.

Maybee they could do a 6.5 Creedmore with a Camo synthetic thumb hole stock, threaded muzzle brake, and multiple Picatinny rails for the wannabe navy seal type wanting a classic single shot.

But a #1B in 6.5 Swede would also do the trick.

.348 would be tough. I love the idea, but there's such a lack of components with a small cult out there (myself included) that pay a premium for any brass/ammo that comes up. I guess on the other side of that, maybe we'd see Winchester do another run of brass if there was a Ruger in 348 on the shelves. That would be sweet. Maybe even bring the A-frames around some more in .348. Ok Hoyt I think you're on to something.

I'd love to see a scaled down no 1 in 22 hornet or 218 bee. But yeah, in my dreams. I just think it would be nice to have a deluxe model with AAA or Exhibition walnut and hand cut checkering, but I'm a wood guy.

I'd take a No.1-A in .32-40 in a heartbeat. One in .25-35 would be rather hard fer me to resist as well. :runaway:

I like that .25-35 idea. I bought the 1A stainless .250 Savage, very similar, but a rim just seems right. I’d also like to see it again in stainless / walnut, and ideally as an RSI.

In my own personal interests I know won’t apply to many others I’d like to see a .375 Win stainless 1A, I know the No.3 was made in .375 Win. The RSI would be better but Hoyt points out they won’t do the .358 so no chance of the .375. A .404 Jeff Tropical I’d have to spring for.

So my votes in the it-could-happen-real-world,

.375 Winchester 1A SS/walnut
.25-35 RSI SS/walnut (this one I’d buy)
.404 Jeffery Tropical SS / Walnut.

In dreamland that’ll never happen as there’s no ammo,

.318 WR
.333 Jeffery
10.75x68 Mauser
