7-30 Waters would be cool
Don’t know if you could squeeze a 348 into an RSIA pair of No.1-RSI rifles in 7-30 & .348 would turn my crank... I do believe that is all I would carry into the deer/bear woods.

Why not? same action as they use for the 45/70, just a shorter barrel.Don’t know if you could squeeze a 348 into an RSI
Maybe a whole new model RSI S with the heavier barrel of the S medium sporter
Would be pretty

I don't think the shank profile is that much different is it?
Cat
Really?
Do you actually believe that? I don't...![]()
If you stayed with the RSI barrel profile it would get pretty thin at the muzzle would it not?
I’ll have to check mine to see how much wall would be left around a 34 bore
Ruger's issue was with the stock profile, not the barrel profile. The 25 piece run of M77 RSI MKII .358's, left a bad taste in their mouth... the barrel contour and subsequent larger stock profile would require a total retooling, and thus far they have been disinclined to do so... it is not that they "can't", it is that they don't want to.
Set triggers.
How about a 30-40 Krag?
A No.1-A or RSI in .348 Winchester.
