ok, so the 308 is out b/c there's minimal difference between that and the 06 unless you have a reason- ie surplus ammo, or a way to get 308 at much cheaper rates- there's basically NO ballistic differece until you get above 180 grains
the 243 is just a 6mm 308, which might have a use on and up to including deer- it's a matter of personal choice
the 300 is just a 30 caliber on SPEED; it offers roughly a 50 yard increase in mpbr( maximim point blank range) over the 06/308 at a substantial increase in powder consumption
in other words , the barrel 06 that you have will do the job quite nicely
there's also a difference in HEAD size when you get into the 300 - ie the head is NOT the same as the 308/06
however it will do the same job at a more substantial cost-
have you considered a 338 win mag- there's a round with advantages over the 30 cal and you can poke alaska browns with it- why you'd want to is beyond me, but thereyou are- as far as the 7mms go, they end at 170/180 grains, which is the middle of the road for 30 cal
