Me too! Remington 760 BDL (fancy schmancy) 30-06, Win 180gr silvertip, 25 yards headshot. Taken on a Friday the 13th in the very early 1980's. Lucky day for me, not so lucky for Mr. White tail buck! 8)

Mine was an Ithica lever action, shot it a pile of times :roll: but with 22 shorts I didn't want to quit till it went down :?

My first deer was a muley doe. Shot her with my first big game rifle, the Canadian Classic...SMLE "Sussex" .303 British. First shot put her on the ground, ran up and put a final round between her eyes. Long time ago...

P17 30-06. Had been partially sporterized, with better sights and some different wood, barrel lopped off at 24" Big fat doe at 85 yards [4 shots ] I was sure some excited!! The following year with the same rifle, I dropped a very big-bodied Buck with one shot. Still so excited, I almost peed my pants. I guess being young has a bit to do with that, though.
