I have to confess, part of the fun of owning a Tavor is explaining to American friends that I have a 5.56 black rifle that they don't. Its one of the few points where we come out ahead. I know that we get the true german HK MR223 and MR308s, but when I'm thinking about non-restricted bolt guns it just isn't my field of expertise.
I'm definitely more than ready to start doing precision stuff, and am constantly hunting the EE for a .308 precision rifle. But I would be even happier if I could find a rig that falls into the same kind of deal that the Tavor does. Unavailable in America because of its country of manufacture.
What distance rifles do we get that the US does not?
Just a thought: do the unique alpine rifles from CSC show up down south? Those things are so bloody expensive that I don't think they really show up anywhere.
How do the American's get Sako rifles if they're supposedly manufactured in Finland?
