So you consider yourself a rifleman, right? Perhaps you're a serviceman, sportsman, or a rifle enthusiast.

Tell us...aside from your rifle, ammo, paperwork, ears & eyes protection, cleaning tools...what do you always carry with you to the range? What are the 3 items you ABSOLUTELY leave home without when you hit the range? What do you consider "essential" and why?

With this info perhaps newbies like me can learn and follow your footsteps, if you will.

PPE (as above), my super-comprehensive cleaning kit (ie three sizes of screwdrivers, ruptured case extractors, grease), and a spotting scope.

And spare boxes for found brass of the calibers I shoot. And paper for targets. And markers.

Friends.
Bring friends, lots of them.
Train your kids in firearm safety and help them get their PALs and restricted too.

Seriously, the hobby is one to enjoy and share.
More importantly, it is one that we can only increase by introducing more people to it.
The more the merrier, and the safer the hobby is in the long run.
