What do you oil your rifles with

Hoppes #9 all over. Seriously. Handle one of my guns in the morning, and at night, your hands will still smell like Hoppes.
Gives the saying "Nothing like the smell of Hoppes in the morning" a whole new meaning.

Pro Shot and Remoil

both smell good enough to be worn as aftershave or cologne!!

infact there's a scene in one of the police academy movies where the guy obsessed with guns put's it on as aftershave, LOL

ive been using seafoam deepcreep. i happened to have some onhand when i bought my rifle and cleaned it for the first time and it seems to work well enough.

Remoil here. Also use Rem DriLube (basically the same thing, but in aerosol form) for the M305 and SKS, lubes the surface but dries without a residue.

Ballistol for cleaning and lubing for me. It has a unique smell, but you can get used to it. I use it on all my rifles, shotguns and pistols.

For lubrication of the bolt or trigger mechanism, Hoppes' #9. A former neighbour, firearms enthusiast, hunter and commercial fisherman across the street had another solution for protection of the metal exterior. Here on the 'wet' coast he had something rendered down from his commercial fishing. Ratfish oil. Seems to be super water repelant. A small amount on a wipe down cloth does the trick.

any idea as to where one can get this Ratfish oil?

Blood and sweat.

Seriously, though. I coat my rifles' exterior with either Dyna-Gun Shield (DGS), or Cerakote, depending on whether I want an invisible finish, or a coloured finish. The bores are all coated with DBC, so I don't have to worry about oiling the bore, either.
