What do you store your reloaded ammo in?

I like using the plastic sleeves that came in the boxes of S&B .308 factory ammo (or similar). I use black tape to tape 5 sleeves together to make a block of 100 spots for loaded/unloaded brass.
I also have a mix of various boxes, buckets and, tubs too. I just can't seem to throw any of that stuff away!
 
Plastic boxes are fine if you don't reload much, I find them to be a pain in the ass to fill and they take up too much space in my ammo storage boxes, I use zip lock freezer bags, they even have an area to write you load data on.

Seriously?? I have 16x50 boxes 22H, 12x100 boxes 204, 24x100 boxes 223, 10x50 boxes 25-06, 4x50 boxes 300wm, 10x100boxes 357, 6x100 boxes 44mag, 2x50 boxes 500SW. These are all the MTM flip tops that stack up nicely in my locker and fit in my ammo cans properly as well.

Freezer bags are for hamburger:stirthepot2::p

I have more than that empty in a cardboard box, plus you only reload 8 calibers. Try to impress me when you get serious about reloading.:p:D

I did that plastic box thing for years also and got tired of putting the rounds in the cases and picking them out one by one at the range, I find it so much easier to grab a handfull of ammo from a bag and load the magazines.
Whatever works best for you I guess as long as you keep shooting all is good.
 
I too used to go with the MTM 50 round cases, and then the 100 round ones before giving in. I think I have about 50 of the 9mm ones sitting in a big tupperware container somewhere... Now the bulk loaded ammo is loaded into .50 cal cans and the stuff destined for the range is scooped out into smaller 220 round .308 cans.

I hear you there! I'm all for order, but there isn't anything easier than dipping your hand into a full cardboard box of loose .45 ACP and pulling out enough to fill the magazine without going back for more. Taking each round one by one out of a plastic box takes too much time away from shooting. My wife is only patient with me for so long... mostly until she runs out of .308.
 
I've been storing ammo and brass in all sorts of stuff. However, typically I put loose live rounds in military surplus ammo cans with the rubber gasket and a silica packet. Some of the stuff has also been getting kept in milk crates stacked on their side (ala college student's dresser) The empty brass gets stored in empty mayonaise jars (cleaned stuff) and kitty litter tubs (mostly dirty stuff). Not 100% moisture proof, but they are weather resistant and the clear mayonaise jar is nice for seeing what's in each jar.

That said, I just found a source of 30mm and 40mm ammo cans in a set for $32.15 taxes in, and 25mm large plastic cannon cans for $26.78 taxes in. So, when my order gets in I plan to get rid of the milk crates, and I'll have to get cracking on the press and refill all that empty brass! It would be nice to have more than 1000 rds in any calibre at the ready ay any given point.
 
LOL this thread made me change my ways. I looked at the time spent stuffing plastic boxes, and got a few plastic ammo containers from LeBaron for $10ea, I can store about 5-6,000 of 9mm rounds in each.

I now just dump my reloads there, and scoop up as much as I need into an ammo bag when going to the range or a match. Grabbing a fistful - instead of picking one round at a time from the ammo box - makes loading mags faster.
