What do you think of this video?

This video is originally my video. I just stumbled across it on this site! Kind of neat to see other people taking interest!

The reason for all the road driving on our moose hunt is because this was the first year that this zone was open to moose hunting......also in a prairie hunt the moose are few and far between making it hard to call and stalk as there are sometimes miles of flat prairie.

I didn't like this video. If I'm going to watch someone else's hunt on film, I prefer to see more of the whole hunt - preparation, planning, scouting, etc, with detailed narration from which I can learn more. Not just the kill at the end. But I realise that when you are driving around a very large area of Saskatchewan farmland, that could make an unfeasibly long video of nothing much happening. For me the worst thing was the music. There's no music soundtrack when I hunt, and I don't want one.

This doesn't mean I think you should change your hunting methods or your video to suit my preferences. If it's just for you and your friends, it should be the way you want it. If you trying to market it as entertainment, you should do it the way you think it will sell. This way won't sell to me, but I'm just one guy, I don't spend much on that kind of entertainment in any case, and I don't have any reason to think my preferences are representative of a large market.

Speaking as a hunter/shooter from the GTA, I don't give a damn how some else hunts as long as its legal (and yes that includes not tresspassing) in the area where they are hunting.
We all seek to kill animals, and most of us eat animals. Logically there is no diference between making use of farm and wild animals.
Hunters and to some extent farmers of all stripes need to band together and agree to not attack someone elses form of employment or recreation.
Together we must oppose the overt attacks of extreemist animal rights advocates and the ignorence and apathy of the uneducated (regarding the nearly universal use of animals) urban dwellers.
Bickering between ourselves serves only to divide and untimately weaken our position that lawfull hunting is a justifiable form of recreation.
What is most important is that we do not disparage anyones legal pursuit of game and thereby undermine our own.

Excellent video. I just can't get over how many moose have moved into the farmland in SK. My wife saw one yesterday in the wide open when she was travelling to the city. Unbelievable. Apparently SERM is going to wipe them out next year by offering open season tags in the south. Stupid.

They been working hard to wipe out trophy white-tailed and mule deer for sometime now, I guess wiping out trophy moose and elk must be next on the mandate.
