I searched this thread for the term "summary" and got nothing. After 79 pages of posts, has the OP not concluded anything yet? How about a summary of your conclusions to date, sort of a short list that you might seriously be considering following up on.

The Luger, the c96, and a .308 garand seem to be the most popular and plausible products. Patents expired, not prohibited, and easy enough to aquire the tooling. That garand especially would sell ridiculous numbers. Especially at a $500 price point and a non restricted eight round semi auto. Just like the M-305, if they produced the GI rifle, and the tanker shorty version shortly after, they and all the dealers would make a mint. Everyone wins. Pok-pok-pok-pok-pok-pok-pok-pok-ping! Sweeet.
