what do you wanna see from Norinco next?

I'm still ogling that Luger. ...I'm wondering what their cost to produce is compared with the other norc branded pistols. 100 of those wouldn't spend years in the warehouse, I'd wager

That said, we already deal with a number of manufacturers in China, we would be pleased to custom order anything our customers want, providing the minimum quantity order is met....

If they are not already tooled up for a given product you can either buy the tooling or give them a large enough order to absorb the cost over the production run....

Most firearms they are already tooled up for can have minimum orders as low as 100 pieces, on the other hand if you want something not in the plans (ie; say a Garand) then a 5,000 piece run with a substantial up front deposit would be in order....

Even if they are producing a given product and you want the best pricing, you must, as we do, order in volume....

We don't mind having goods produced but please lets keep this fantasy realistic.

They already make the QBZ 95-1 for the Chinese army. If we have over 100 people ordering a QBZ 95-1 that takes the M16 magazine, would that be enough? Or would we need 5000 with a minimum deposit? The Canadians love the Type 97, they would definately love a Type 97-1 with bolt release behind the magazine, a forward ejection, accessory rails on both side of the front sight, and most importantly a fire selector on the pistol grip.
 
I'm not asking for much at all and they already produce it. I want a steady supply of norinco 223 ammo. Lets flood the market so every gunstore has at least a pallet of the stuff sittin in the back of the store

I'm currently working with some valves for a bc hydro project. The quality is piss poor at best. I wouldn't be surprised if you see them in the news in the near future...

I've seen more Chinese products than many people as a friend is an importer. Look at the outlaws, backpackers, 780 home land security (or what ever that shotgun was), 213, many, many of the products that come out of china are horrible. Some are even dangerous.

I don't care where it's made. I care HOW it's made.
 
How about clones of Remington M700 actions? Maybe have the bolt designed to use the Savage bolt heads. I bet they'd sell like beer on hot day.

The problem is that people hold these stereo typical views of China without understanding the "why". The fact is, when most "crap" that arrives from China, it's not "crap" because it is made-in-China, it's crap because we asked them to build it that way. We demand bright shiney products at the lowest possible price. Sorry, but that is a recipe for disaster. If we properly spec'd out the goods, and got contracts specifying proper quality controls, then I think we would see high quality product. Every day I work with Bvery high quality parts coming out of all sorts of countries, including China. They are high quality parts because the are spec'd that way, and we have contracts which allow us to return the goods no meeting spec. Any respectable company will make sure nobody has need to return anything. But when most of the "crap" consumer commodites hit these shores from China, it's because the local distributors got some fly-by-night company in China to built it for pennies. The people we need to blame are mostly right here in this country.
