what do you wanna see from Norinco next?

Doesn't make any sense for Norinco to produce a rifle that can't be sold in Canada

Maybe they could modify it to be legal in Canada? I believe the problem with the SCAR was that the FA group was a drop in kit and it was very easy for someone to convert the Semi Auto Scar to Full Auto with the kit, but obviously it is very difficult to get this kit.

I think the problem may be it's plastic lower. Even with a block in place to not allow full auto trigger group, it can be dremelled away within seconds. They need to find a more permanent solution to this.

Out of curiosity though, why is it so hard to obtain FA control group? Isn't it just a few piece of heat treated metal that everyone with a CNC machine can make? I heard they go for 10K+ down in the states. What are the laws that govern making full auto firing control group?

That would get your pee pee spanked:HR:

I'm referring to US laws, certainly not Canadian ones ;)

Even there dude, that's why the full auto mechanisms are so expensive. They where banned, but only if they where manufactured after a certain date.....thus creating a limited supply.....and that's where supply and demand get real sticky.

The correct term you are looking for here is "Converted Auto" and they Prohibited as well.

Considering Chinese Government is cracking down on copyright violations, the chances of them ignoring the FN patent on the SCAR is pretty slim to none. all the Norinco copies like M4, 1911, P226 and 870 has long expire.

hate to burst all your bubbles, but for Norinco to tool up a production line to produce a new rifle from scratch, they will need a market that is bigger than the Canadian civilian market to recoup their cost and to start making a profit in a very short time.

Holy smokes this is a long thread! My wish may already be covered... variable length barrels with screw-in chokes for the dominion arms backpacker line of shotguns. 13" & 30" for both gauges.

I remember seeing a picture of a Chinese bolt-action sniper rifle in 7.62R. It looked pretty cool. Maybe if that could imported at a good price?

I'd pre order a couple if Rinco 4.25" model 10s. In a heart beat. I used to carry one and I miss it dearly.

I'm just hoping that someone somewhere is looking at this to see what the consumer wants. I know that they can't sell to America, but there is a whole world out there, and a lot of it is still free enough that the citizens are allowed to own these things. A lot of what has been said on this post is simply modifications of what has already been offered under the Norinco name, and would not be hard for them to accomplish. Many other things would mean new tooling and manufacturing lines, but would sell very well in the countries that they do sell. A model 70 in New Zealand and Africa, in 30-06 and 375H&H for instance. Keep em coming guys.
