Why yes I have. And I have no clue. I’ve killed a pile of big game with a pile of cartridges. And I can certainly tell you that stuff dies quite handily without ever reading a headstamp. Now will someone please tell me what is actually wrong with the 6.5 CM so we can resolve the matter. Up to this point, no one has.
Then you should know that there is absolutely nothing special about a 6.5 Creedmoor in the hands of a hunter.
I must have missed it... what is the "truth?"
Funny there is talk about how standardized the 6.5CM is, I don't have a single match 140gr I can seat to 2.800 without jamming the lands. Longest I can go with is Hornady at 2.770.
There is some old gunsmith on YouTube spouting about this issue as well, he's extremely boring and drones on and on, I'll see if I can find it.
Other than good ammo, available world wide. I just had a friend return from Africa. Lots of CM available there. Lots. That can potentially be a big deal. But no, it won’t kill things any better than anything else. But that isn’t the point. We have people here avoiding it just because it’s become popular. They say it is a flash in the pan. Which is silly.
With the popularity of the 6.5 creedmore these days I an wondering why it seems to be so popular . What does it do that the 6.5 x 55 doesn't do, or what does it do better ? I don't get it .
I load 125 and 140 gr partitions in my 6.5 x 55's and my load books don't show me any advantages in favour of the Creedmore. What am I missing?

Good ammo available worldwide? Youre taking that thing to Africa? You're grasping now.
What we have here is some people promoting it because they think its a great long range hunting cartridge. Which it isn't. Certainly not for big game
Here is his thread. I can get you his number if you want to call him and chat about it.
Being a top seller these days has zero to do with quality or the appropriate hunting application. What would I talk to him about?

So, I’m struggling to find your point. This thread is about the virtues of the 6.5 CM over the X55. Do they exist. Long range killing power has really nothing to do with it. And if it did I would imagine the difference would be unnoticeable between those two. There are some real advantages to CM. They have been posted here. When they are, they are ignored or the subject is changed. I’ve hunted with the Swede and the 260 Rem. But I’m not sure how that is relevant here.
That’s just a problem with your rifle, not the cartridge. I’ve had 5 Creedmoors now, none of which had that problem. I did however have awful seating depth problems with my only 260. I had to push the the Bullets so far back that it severally limited case capacity.
This problem is much more common in cartridges like 260 and 243 vs. the 6 and 6.5 creemoors
Also, one other thing the Creedmoors can do is fit in a standard AR10 action. Haven’t seen too many semi auto 6.5x55 developed in the last 50 years.
No point other than discussion. You cant claim that everything in this thread is 6.5CM vs 6.5x55.
My point is that I still believe there are no real advantages to the 6.5CM as a hunting cartridge.
Not so sure it's a problem... it's a short throat which is not a bad thing for accuracy.
One of the bullet's I use is Nosler Custom Comp which shows 2.775 OAL which I can almost seat to without issue.

Other than availability. And for a huge portion of the hunting population this is a big deal. It’s biggest virtue is that I can buy a factory rifle, factory ammunition and likely be hunting tomorrow with an accurate rifle.

There is nothing about this statement that is unique to a 6.5CM
