I took my Savage .270win for a primary with 130 gr, my .243 as back up and my 20 gauge for small game. Shot a buck on opening day that walk half a stride with little damage, and a tonne of tasty squirrel and partridge. My 20 gauge had a filthy barrel when I got home. I must have shot 30 tasty critters in all. The squirrels this year were a dime a dozen and with the 4 of us in camp, only 2 brought scatter guns and cared. We hunted our limit in squirrels almost every afternoon. Great season this year, and the countdown begins for next year! lol
