I haven't been on the forum too much lately, where the heck did Douglas go?

He brought a lot of interesting debate and information here, forum seems a lot less lively.

We talking about c-fbmi? Yeah he got banned for threatening someone. There was a thread on this topic where a mod explained the situation then locked down the thread, I forsee this getting locked too...

I wish there was list of infractions of the BANNED.
I always wonder what one does to get banned?

In the back of my mind I'm always hoping each bad has zero to do with belief / ideology / opinions.
I pretend every name I see BANNED , was banned for attacking others with profanity, or threats, or any other unacceptable menacing behavior.

All of the above. People have no doubt been banned for attacking others, breaking the rules, illegals activities, spamming. Justified.

There are certainly some who were banned for very BS reasons, long time CGN members will know of some, a little pink avatar is the one that comes to mind. CGN is a business not a platform for free speech.

If you looked into Doug's ban it looks like he threatened someone over a EE deal gone wrong. Green tips straight up said that is why in the other thread. Sucks that a member who barely contributes a thing to this site, and hasn't logged on for a full year, ended up getting Doug banned. He undoubtedly broke the rules though, and rules are rules.

#1 - BULLSEYE!

#2 - Rules only apply to the proletariat, The master doesn't have to follow his own rules. **COUGH COUGH** Trudope ** COUGH**
He who has the gold, makes the rules.
It's an unfortunate truth one has to understand.
(in no way was I trying to demean , I am agreeing 100% to what you said)

Hi liked the guy...He was very interesting! Seemed like a gentlemen also

A gentleman, yes, but a prickly gentleman; and I say that as his friend and supporter. Its a shame he was banned because he provided a wealth of knowledge to those truly interested in learning, but even the way that happened was typical Douglas. Like I said, prickly.

Having been threatened by a few people here. There no need for it, ever !!! Both times I never deserved it, and if you got that much hate in you. You shouldn't really be owning firearms.

Opinions on these forums often conflict with fundamental beliefs, and this conflict can result in animosity, which can then escalate to personal attacks and threats. The key to ensuring forum posts remain civil, is to debate the issue and not the personality, sometimes this is easier said than done. EE interactions are a bit different in that interactions between seller and buyer are normally conducted in a private manner, such as PMs, emails, texts, or even phone calls. What is said between the parties is not constrained by the knowledge that the dialog is public. There is a big difference between the guy who treats others the way he would like to be treated, and the guy who goes into a negotiation convinced that the other party intends to cheat him, or the individual whose goal it is to come out on top of any deal, if even by a small margin. Either of the former types will run into difficulty with an individual who is knowledgeable, righteous, and uncompromising. In some ways Douglas was an easy mark, because his short fuse was so obvious. It is certainly possible that the actual intent of the disgruntled party was to manufacture a conflict that would result in a ban.

Interesting theory Boomer.
Git ah kupple stubborn ol frucks…………….(prickly) and shure azz chit sooner oar later a war will emerge.

Certainly applies to some of the bullies on this site. If you don't agree with someone state your case with courtesy or ignore the other poster completely. Some come on here just to pick on others with not a thing to add to the discussion and that could signal some real problems.

Wonder how their relationships are working out in real life???

Excellent post so obviously full of well learned lessons from life experience. It's a long time since I've seen someone call up the Golden Rule.

Unfortunately the ones who need this advice the most are the ones most likely to ignore it. It's obvious with a certain cohort that they are incapable of debating the issue and resort to personal attacks and bullying - or at least they used to, haven't "seen" much of their postings for the last few years.

Thanks again for your postings.
