What hard to find rimfire would you like to have

1st. E. Arthur Brown Model 97D rifle in 22lr

Ohhhhhjj, that's a prudy rifle. Just went on my want list.

Others are:
  • Enfield Trainer.
  • HK 300
  • Possibly a Finnish Lion.
  • Marlin 39 Mountie
  • Martini MK III, IV or V

Wonder why not a number of others?
Already have a bunch of Martini's up to an International Mk II, Nylons, including leavers, browning trombones, 9422, Win 490, and some more common, modern rifles, and a few mid and high end target rifles.

Must be a beautiful .22 rifle. Double rifles were made to use on dangerous game; for the one I was able to read about (no photos) the auction house said it has embossed rats rampant on each side of the receiver, so I take it that rifle was made for rat shooting and that rats were quite savage back in the day.... :)

Check Connecticut shotgun manufacturing website. They had pics. Not all double rifles were for dangerous game. Most but not all. The 21 did have rats or squirrels on crack engraved but there were other options as well. Along with case color and scroll engraving

WooHOO!! Found mine a couple days ago!! I now have my late 1959, steel reciever Marlin 57 in .22WMR.... Soo stoked!!

I still haven't found a Remington 40x Sporter repeater, but I just purchased an Anschutz 54MS-R. Not that I needed another rimfire, but I couldn't turn it down.

More recently, saw a Ruger 10/22 Takedown "Tactical" model, short barrel, treaded muzzle, in a similar store, but already knew they aren't coming into Canada (altho someone here did find me a very similar version online). Really, I have to stay out of those USA gun stores, they only break my heart with all the great unobtainable stuff they have.

These are available here, the 11112 model right? One of the dealers here just had some for sale.

Winchester 52 sporter. If not an original (which are incredibly expensive), I'd take a reproduction 52 sporter from Japan.

Me too. Don't give up. There is some guys taking the ruling to court in the future. The argument might be that the action is the same under the MP5 looking skin as other Walther firearms like the ISSC MK22. (so I heard no first hand knowledge) I handled some of these in the Philippines and I found they were very well made. In that country with the easiest to obtain firearm licence there, they are limited to 22lr in rifles. The gun shop owner there told me that half of there rifle sales are this GSG522.

Moe

It's not a hard to find rimfire... But it's prohibited here...

Like someone else said a few page back:
An Anschutz Fortner 1827 Biathlon rifle. It may not be in the 'fantasy' class, but at the $4000 price tag, it is for me.
Also:
Winchester 52 Sporter NIB
CIL-310 NIB

Didn't read the thread but I had a Mossberg semi with a fold down front stock that I wouldn't mind replacing. Anybody got one?

CZ 453 Lux is .17 HM2... only twenty made... I keep hoping...

Stevens Favorite M26 in MINT original condition... in LR.

An original 1885... still in packing grease???

Walther KKJ, Brno 611, Sako Finnfire.
But i have to consider myself very lucky. I own two very nice rimfire. A super nice Brno 581 and a great CIL 310. Proud of what i got but if my pockets were deeper i would certainly be actively searching for those three!
Brno 611 for sure! Hk 300 also in 22 magnum.
Otherwise a Remington 40XR in 22 LR, the Kliengunther or the Kimber Super America in the same chambering. Luckily I got a fairly decent Mauser ES350B already.

Good thread!
