What is a good field grade SxS or O/U?

Old use Beretta, The Sauer SxS Royal is a high quality gun, very light, fast handleing and usually $900 used in good shape.

I'm just editing my original post I've decided to put more money into it if needed, what would be a good field grade SxS or O/U, i don't want to spend 2,000$ on a gun i'll be bringing into the bush. What would be your recomendations for a good field grade gun.
Just buy a used Citori of the EE and have at 'er

.

I picked up a nice Ruger red label for $600 it is in great shape but only has fixed chokes and 2 3/4" chambers. Shop around you might get a deal on a nice used one like I did.

buy a 50 yr old Browning Superposed, if you don't mind shooting a gun that fits, works and doesn't devalue much. jmo

He's already said that he wants chokes (I assume he means choke tubes) and isn't willing to spend the money for a good O/U and definately not enough for a decent SxS.

My vote is that you get an 870. If you only want to spend a few hundred bucks then you're way further ahead getting a good pump that a sh*tty double.

forget about the choke tubes, get over it

Before Choke tubes were ever invented had no one ever killed a Bird or broke a Clay?
I own a few Shotguns and none of them have choke tubes. They may have extra barrels, or worked on barrels. But no choke tubes. The best patterns I have ever seen were on non tubed barrels.
And P.S. I hate watching guy's "fiddling with their chokes" at every station.

x2! ... I have a 20ga Bobwhite. It's pretty light, handles well and kills grouse.

.

I went with a 20ga. as well. I picked up an older production Ruger Red Label.

Oh, nice signature:).

Post more pics with the Moose medallion, it looks great.

Actually it's a trivet that usually sits on the coffee table in my den, not a medallion. Sorry to upset you, but really if you don't like it or it 'annoys' you that much, don't look. Some like Moose some don't. Some like 'slap happy' Penguins, and some don't.
