I might add, I contacted a fellow in Norway and their history is not cheap...$350 USD back when the USD was $1.50 CDN...

well then this isn't the rifle for me!! lol how much do you guys think it's worth as is and what section would you list under?
it's been a lot of fun learning what this is but i'll never get around to putting that kind of money into restoring it!
how much would one like in the picture above sell for?
 
With the rust, no stock or extra steel parts, and the broken front sight, I would venture a conservative guess at $50. A more liberal bid might be $75, maybe.

You could put it in the Milsurp EE as a whole rifle.

Or The Parts EE perhaps.

If it was all original with stock and everything, unsportered. You'd be looking at the $850 - $1000 IMHO. :)

so some gun oil and 1/2 an hour with steel wool, a 450 stock and a front blade i have a 850-1k rifle but as is 100...that sucks... you know what they say...it takes money to make money.
i have a feeling this old girl will be up for sale or trade tommorow...:)

+ the front band/bayo lug, mid band, buttplate, sight protector = another $200 - $300...

Unless you want a labor of love, that gun will be a money pit.

Really, if you can get more than $50, it's all gravy! ;)

Don't we all.

I helped my buddy get his Sportered M1912 Nazi Captured Krag into shooting order. It was missing the bolt knob, recoil pad, and good sights.

It sure looks like an abomination, but it shoots gophers like a dream! Smooth as butter those Krags. Love the 6.5x55!
 
now this old krag is my problem ..............plan to restore it .........will be my 2nd krag fixer--upper.
no rush ..............( no money ) lol

we shall se how things develope as long as it shoots ok.

Either way, the krag is a wonderful old rifle, very slick and well made, though the design is somewhat weak compared to other rifles, for $50 I'd keep it and restore it as time/money permits.
 
thats my plan .............a fixer upper as time and funds permit .............unless the bores crap / worn out ........then ill go to plan B .............when i think of it.
