Probably because those people don't have a history of trolling and bs since they joined.

I dunno, there still are some decent (as well as outrageous) prices at the gunshows. A buddy of mine picked up a beautiful Eddystone Model 1917, full wood with the red stripe for a paltry $175 last year at the Chilliwack gun show. The year prior to that, I scored a beautiful 1942 Lithgow #1 Mk3* wire wrap for $265. Not everyone is out to gouge, some guys want to pass on the history to other like minded people....
Exactly true about the collectors and those interested in history. Don't let the top dollar gougers and "Internets" ruin your day. If the price is too high just walk away. I picked up a real nice No4Mk1(T) complete with No.32 scope/mount, wooden box and cased binoculars for $660.00 in a face to face transaction with a collector.
How much would a lithgow no4 mk1 go for with good wood, matching numbers, shiny bore and bayonet included be worth?? It's basically all original and hasn't been shot since it was surplused.

I paid ~ $400 for my number matching, beauty bore '40 Lithgow No.1 Mk3* with non matching bayo, sling and "rack-grade" stock about a year ago. Hope that helps.
all Enfields in my area can be had 200 and under thats Sporterized or untouched but then again i dont buy Enfields but I have been noticing the Price Hikes on them over the 6 months online all over
That sounds like good buying. A matching 1940 lithgow still as MkIII in my parts would be over 800 bucks.
Is yours maple or coachwood?
I should clarify....a matching '40 No.1 MkIII*.....FTR date '54...I think that makes the price make more sense
wood ? I really don't know....other than walnut and beech....wood types kind of escape me
here she is...if you can tell from this lemme know...I have better pics somewhere, but not uploaded yet and I really don't feel like looking for them....ugh, digital cameras and the thousands of pictures that need sorting ! haha

Mate that's a nice picture of you and your little girl.
Almost most definitely it's coachwood if it was FTR'd in Australia. Photos too small on my phone but it looks like coachwood.
Nice one!
