8 x 57 at the moment. Got 2 k98's and a Hakim...annnnnd 1750 ( OK closer to 1500 as per this week ) rounds of 8 x 63 MG ammo to break down and feed the beasts.
Practice, practice, practice.
That and in the slight chance someone is casing the place...well, large caliber reports from different rifles at irregular intervals... " No, you go 1st..."

My go to for my first attempt at black bear hunting this this morning was my 14" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 375JDJ loaded with 220gr JFP and 225 Spitizers @ 2250fps.

It started snowing as soon as we headed up the local hill which is why I said attempt because I turned around and came home.

And this was the wisest decision you made this year.
We got pretty much 4" of the white chit in short time.
The road frum'ear to Merritt was closed due to a rebuttal from a tanker'n a pick up.
Nudder accident heading frum'ear over the mine's way.
Tanker spun out arf way up the west hill and had to chain up.
The local loader went around him.
Kripes, days oh yerzse that loader would'oh tugg'd'im up the hill.

Thanks Turdtew fur thet thar glowbawl warm'in tax.
Chit izz werk'in.

I like them all but a lot depends on what and where I am hunting.
Always liked 257R and 270 but really have a soft spot for 35 rem.
Surprised it wasn’t listed in the poll.

7x64! - or maybe 9.3x74R. No wait, 9.3x62... aww it used to be the .308, might be again. But then my .375's need more field experience. And I've been really satisfied with my .35 Whelen. But when my 7x57R comes back from the smith that will definitely be a favourite. I don't even like the 30-06 much but I seem to use it an awful lot. Of course you can't properly hunt pronghorn and mule deer on the open plains without a .25-06. Um, What was the question again?
