What is your favorite milsurp?

As of late, I really like the Vz52/57. Its such a fun riffle to shoot. and the M38...

My lee enfield and SKS haven't been out much since.... lol...

I have to say my garand is my favorite, but would love to get a 1911 and a 1911A1 but my budget squeals like crazy when I start to eye one up. I love 1911's.

Toss up between the 1910 Ross or the 1903 Springfield. Not sure what it is about the Springfield, but it's a nice rifle to handle and operate......but I still love that straight pull even more.

The Garand is much fun, but I have a softer spot for bolt actions and single shot rifles. They also don't burn up as much ammo as quickly as the Garand can.

For me, it's a toss-up between my dozen Rosses and my dozen SMLEs.

A small step down the line is Miss Vetterli: the prettiest 1936 Short Rifle rebuild of an 1870/87/915 Vetterli-Vitali you could ask to see.

As far as workmanship is concerned, the M71, the M71/84 and the South American Mausers are things of beauty. My favourites to shoot are the M71/84, the Swedish Rolling Block and the Swiss Vetterli.

M71/84.

My 69/71 Swiss Vetterli would be my favourite. I've converted her to centre fire and is now a regular shooter (though expensive). Smooooooth action, heavy rifle, so no muzzle rise, no kick. Large calibre bullet, so can be used hunting. My next step is to take herto my smithy to have a scope mount tapped.
