I haven't purchased a new hunting rig in a few years now. Not sure how or why that happened?
Same here. Although I know exactly how that happened. This year I was busy buying handguns. The year before I was busy buying 22s. lol

CZ 453 and a Brno 21H in 7X57 Mauser......
Soon to be scoped.
Tight Groups and Seasons Greetings All.
Yes, even those on the ever growing iggy list too
Rob
Apparently, my CZ 600 Alpha in 8x57 is in the mail ! It's getting a quality Minox red-dot and will be my inclement weather woods stalker for any situation that may arise. I have several boxes of Norma, RWS and Prvi ammo on hand. The Norma 196gr Vulcan is pushing 2800 ft lbs of muzzle energy--it'll do!

Sounds like a great addition to the stable Rob.
I finally found a browning BLR stainless takedown in 358 win, so I sold my previous go-to, which was a blued/walnut browning BLR takedown in 358 win. It's the perfect rifle for the rainy Island weather. I transferred the Kahles K15i scope that was on my other blr to it, using warne bases and QD rings. I think modern LPVOs are a much better option than scout scopes, and don't like that the scout rail on the blr t/d requires removing the rear sight.
I also re-purchased 2 rifles I had sold to a friend from his estate:
a 450 Marlin steyr SBS Big Bore; and
a Wild West Guns co-pilot in 457 WWG. Very cool rifle. I was pretty glad to have it in the Rockies this fall.
