what kind of .22 do you use for hunting?

This good ol' Stevens 87C semi is my most used rifle .

When I specifically head out for 'Yotes or Jacks , it's my Marlin 25MN .22mag that I'll tote.

I used to hunt with a customized Ruger 10/22 but that has taken a back seat to my new CZ 452 American 17HMR.
I realize it's not a .22 but it is a rimfire so I think that qualifies.

I used to use a Lakefield mark 1 single shot, iron sight. used 38gr or 40 gr hollow point for grouse. drop dead. But aging eye took away my fun, now use a 12 gauge and found no longer interesting.

Savage 93GL in .22mag. Shoots like a freakin' laser beam. I'm not too concerned about ammo cost when I hunt, as I tend to only make shots that count.

...I guess I shoulda mentioned the rest of my ccollecction, aside from the Marlin 7000 and the Mossberg 702 I also have a Squires Bingham M 1600, a CZ 452 Varmint (which shoots 1/4" groups at 50 m) and a Stevens 72 Crackshot, which is an absolute HOOT! That little gun with iron sights is accurate enough to hit empty shotgun shells at 50 m!

Well I won't go into my collection, my new favorite last season was my Browning Buckmark in a heavy barrel. Bought some extra mags for it and went to town on a Sask. trip. My hunting partner has one and I was amazed at its accuracy so I had to get one too. Didn't disappoint. FS

this year I will be using a newly acquired Mossberg 144 lsb. Heavy barrel and 27 inches long.

I have this model of .22 as well. If yours is anything like mine you will be pleased. It is a very accurate 22 with a sweet trigger. I'm pretty sure the sights on mine didn't come with the rifle, but I could be wrong. Hope to scope it in the near future, for older eyes.

All depends on the weather which one I use. Savage in the rain, the marlin on the clear days.
