That's the Glock 22, .40 s&w, and it's only really a problem with those who use lead reloads. Although there are those who do it (some with no problems ever), I'd recommend not using lead unjacketted bullets in any glock with the factory polygonal rifled barrel.

Actually we were talking about "unnatural wrist push". Those were your words weren't they? If you got my sarcasm then I guess it was effective. As for reteaching myself, ah...naw. When I first picked up a Glock it was as easy to shoot as any other gun. At the range, I move to each of my different pistols (non Glock of course) and have the same awesome results!! lol!! I truely feel sorry for your handicap. Don't worry your still special to somebody!!! Definiately not me though, I think your a jackass.

I think it's fairly evident there's a problem if gunsmithing services are offered to eliminate that "feature", but some people just need to have the obvious beaten into their heads before it becomes plainly apparent. As previously stated, if you've worked around it, good for you... but don't bury your head into the sand or take the simplistic view that it's not a problem because you're not afflicted by it, S.F.B.

Accept it and stop making yourself look like a proud fool.

Well if I have SFB what do you have? Not much I guessing. Vitriol?? Are you one of those white sheet dressing hate all kinds of people that look different then yourself too?? I think you have all sorts of issues you need to work out and I encourage you to seek out a highly professional team of therapists.

Perhaps you should put up a Poll to see how may Glock owners have modified their grip angle?

Accept it seems your in a small minority and stop pissing into the wind and telling your friends the rain is warm. :slap:
 
I own a Beretta M96 inox and a Glock 17. Owned the Beretta first. Wasn't sure if I wanted a glock at first then I shot my good friends glock. I was sold. Extremely reliable as I have shot about 5k rounds through each of my pistols now I have had only one failure to feed in the beretta my fault though over lubricated the thing and it got gummy and zero stoppages in my glock. Both are excellent pistols if you ask me.
 
This may have been covered, but I was under the impression that 11 degrees was the optimal "ergonomic" angle for a pistol. The luger had this. The GLOCK and STEYR are the two closest I can think of. Them and target .22's I suppose.

When I point my index finger at an object as if I was trying to touch it, I can open my hand, put the GLOCK in and the sights line up near perfect (try it, it is actually pretty cool). Try the same thing with a 1911 and tell me where the sights line up.

So tell me smart guy, which one points more naturally?

A mensan mind, something you can't hope to compete with. You're persistent though, I'll give you that... if only you could combine that with intellectual honesty, then you'd really have something. As it stands, I'll have to leave this alone and conclude that you prefer bathing in delusion.

This is the most interesting post of this whole thread. RedLeg is probably the most qualified person on this thread to JUDGE the GLOCK for it's OVERALL reliability.

I don't want to hijack this thread but it's alread degenerated into a "the PISTOL I own is the best" thread anyway....:rolleyes:

Redleg, in your opinion what pistol brand is the most reliable overall? I'd value your input as your range guns would provide the most accurate measure of durability. If you can't say because you may pi$$ off your vendors would you mind PM'ing me? I really would like to get your opinion.

I have never had a cracked slide or frame on a 1911. But I have had many failures.
I've only shot 300 rounds through my Glock, but no failures with six different types of ammo.

I love them both! I just don't trust the 1911 with my life.
 
Stop sniping at each other now.

Besides, grip angle doesn't mean ####. Put your sights on the target, use proper trigger control, and you'll hit what you aim at, with any gun.
