What norinco "should" make

I agree with Hr, I liked there old 7.62 ammo
Bill C68 , they already make a M305 or if you want .223 try a 311 .
Happydude , the only AK the feds will like would be airsoft . Sorry .
Something new and original would be nice , or a PM5 knock off could be intresting . How about a Storm clone but with Glock or double stack 1911 mags , in some intresting caliber like 9x40 or 400 Corbon , how about 38 super ?
A legal PPK knock off in 9mm ?

Was it a clone of a Beretta 92? Do you remember what the Norinco model number was? What did it sell for? Any pictures? I've seen the Taurus PT-92, but never a Norinco copy.

I'd love for someone to make an inexpensive 92FS and a 1911 clone in .22LR. Hopefully they would keep the weights about the same as the originals and maybe even use the same trigger groups. Instead of paying $400-$600 for a conversion, we could own stand-alone practice pistols. C'mon Norinco!

I've emailed Norinco for clones in .22LR, hope I'll get an answer back.
It would be easy for them since they already make 1911 / CZ / SIG copy.
Just need to make a kit and since it's a chinese compagny, I'm sure that would be fairly cheap.
I tought they were a very cheap compagny, but they do missiles / tanks and all the war toys.. I guess they "know" what to do. they have a poor manufacturing process I know, but that is "Made in China" no? lol
 
How about they just make a run of 110mm Makarov barrels so that they can dump some Maks on our shore.

I wouldn't mind buying one...

... or two....

... or ten.

I'd like to see norinco improve on the stuff they already make....
Alot more attention to finish quality should be one of their priorities before they start making more half-assed-finished products.
 
Don't think I would ever buy anything from Norinco...
You could never do a cheap copy as good as the original is, and most of their production really are the vulgar copies of well-known guns :(
The norinco's craftsmanship is poor - you just can't even compare it to any of the real brand's products.
I think they should make something their own and compete for the market.

Actually alot of the 1911 guys prefer the Norinco frames to build on.
My buddy swears every Norinco 1911 works great as opposed to a Colt.

Granted. But the flip side is that they are putting out firearms that are within the price range of people on a tight budget. They are offering copies of popular guns at affordable prices. You are right in that they are not as good quality but I would not call them vulgar. My 1911 is a good example. It's not as pretty as the kimber or sprinfields but it shoots very well and it is dead reliable.
I know for a fact I would not be able to afford the springfield version of the m14.Norinco is affordable enough that I am looking at a second one. It's all a matter of taste I guess. I would rather shoot a cheap gun than none at all.

i agree on this it would be nice to have a 22 for my cz 85. not sure how much the conversion kit is but ive seen a kadet pistol for 650 in the forum somewhere

The NP29 is a massive improvement over what they use to turn out. The only part that is brutal is inside the dust cover on the frame.......looks like the guy that milled it was blind.

I would agree, it is a matter of taste :)
But may be instead of two Norincos you would consider buying one original? :)

I could buy 4 norincos to the one springfield and still have money left over for ammo. Besides, as most are quick to point out, the recievers are of better metallurgy. I really couldn't care less that the guns are made in a communist china or that the internals are rough. I really don't care about the fact that they are a knock off. The only thing I care about is that they work the way they intended and that's exactly what they do.
 
China already has long experience in producing 7.62X25 SMGs. They could produce a cheap, simple carbine in .30 Tokarev with a 10" barrel that takes Tokarev mags that would be as solid and reliable as their 1911A1 and 54-1.

It would hold 8 rounds legally using the pistol mags of cheap, powerful 7.62X25 and would be accurate at longer ranges.
 
Also, as much as it is blasphemy, I could use some more M1 Garands in new condition. Plus, I bet they could make a Mini-14 as good or better than Ruger for less $$$. Or just make a .223 Garand! Get the magazine exemption!

Hell, Norinco could even make something crazy like a scaled-down ~.270 calibre Garand like it was originally meant to be. But that's really dreaming. A Tokarev rifle is much more realistic, as is a Sten. That takes BHP mags.
