What oils you guys using?

Lucas ATF with some red n' tacky mixed in when I need more viscosity. I would just use automattenfett but it's not as easy to come by.
 
For copper I use wipeout. For light cleaning Boretech eliminator. For heavy carbon iOSSO paste. As far as oil I use slip extreme weapon lube.

That sounds terrible. All my maple syrup this year came out what the maple forums call “ropey” the way I explained it was like Lucas additive. Not right for pancakes, not right for guns.

Lucas makes more than one product, fairly good products. they even make a gun oil. don't put pancakes on your gun.
 
Silicone blended Stag gun oil in the cold. Home Hardware and Federated Co Op can bring it in by the case. They always go bang at -40 when you use that.

G96 for the rest of the time, axle grease on the lugs and high load bearing parts.

X2 on both points. I really like Rem Oil aerosol as well though, usually use it for storage etc.
 
I still need to fine tune the powder / seating depth combination... I am pretty close but wanna stretch it a bit further.

When I finish and have all the data, this W308 is going for a storage in between tournaments.

At my place a lot of humid over summer, I wanna find a good protection.

Not the best at any 1 thing, but good at everything.

I joke with guys at my club about the cabinets full of different lube/oil/cleaner of the month they tried out that they saw in an article and used once.
 
G96 for a wipe down, synthetic motor oil for a lube. GMC camshalft assembly lube on bolt lugs, at least on newly machined parts. I just put a tiny dot on each lug with a toothpick and it’ll stay there forever or until I wipe it off. It’s made to prevent galling on high pressure freshly machined surfaces.
 
After a recommendation from C&Rsenal on YouTube a few years ago I switched to Balistol and haven't ever looked back. I like that it doesn't matter if you get it on wood, metal, anything, it doesn't harm it. Unlike other things I've used in the past, the wife doesn't turn up her nose and complain about them smell when I'm in a firearm cleaning mood :p
 
Three quarters of the lubes suggested in this thread will cause a misfire when hunting coyotes in -30c.

Check the locations of the guys before using what they recommend if you will find yourself out in the winter.
Ballistol is one of the worst offenders in sub zero temps.

Been using Gunzilla for years and still have years and years worth left. I like it. but does freeze up in -30...when I'm going in the cold a squirt of deep creep works
