What optic are you using on your Tavor?

Ive ran the Elcan Spectre DR 1-4, an Eotech with magnifier and an ACOG 4x with doc optic. The eotech is heavy and clunky with the magnifier, the Elcan is also heavier than the ACOG but better field of view and you can switch from 1-4 with the flick of a leaver instead of looking up on top of the ACOG to see the red dot and losing your cheek weld. Id still say Id go with the ACOG due to its much smaller size and lower weight, (not that the Elcan is really heavy) you can barely feel its on the gun.

Looks matter! Do you have pic of acog on Tavor!!
How does the ACOG 's brightness/clarity compare to Elcan @4x or voxtex@4 etc.?

I can take pics with all three. I have the acog with the fiber optic tube so it's very bright during the day or night with the tritium until that runs out (10 years?) plus no batteries except for the doc optic. Oops I think u meant the glass. In my opinion the ACOG glass is just as clear/ bright as the Elcan only it has a smaller field of view. I have kill flashes for both scopes but it reduces clarity and reduces performance except in the looks department. The kilflash is really bad on the Elcan as in 1x magnification you can see the honeycomb don't waste your money on it you will just take it off whenever you use the scope.

Here's a pic of the Tar with my old non doc optic TA-31F. The eotech and mag are on an RFB and the Spectre DR is on a black special. I'll take close up pics of all three on my TAR when I get out of camp.

I'm going to get an Elcan 1-4. How much should a used one go for? Should I just buy new? I will post in ee asap.
Thanks for posting everyone!

P.S. Thanks alot for spending my money...(sarcasm) Because of the Tavor #### in this thread, I'm seriously contemplating adding 2nd Tavor (older gen tavor with short rail) to my collection! Dam you guys!!

You should post a wish list of stuff you'd like to test... You never know what might pop up!

2nd that!

Check out what I got from DS Tactical! Thanks pbr, the gang at DS is wonderful to deal with and gave me a great price. The elcan is wicked nice. And thanks again for posting everyone, I still haven't seen an optic that doesn't look great on the Tavor!

Waiting for my tavor to come in march. Just drooling over your pics for now. Probably going to put an aimpoint pro (after going over all the aimpoint pro vs eotech 512 threads on all corners of the internet) on it. I'd love an Elcan but the gun has me over budget already. Life's harsh. :(

I still prefer a red dot like the aimpoint pro for up close CQB( I still use my eotech for this ). No clutter, no parallax just fast target acquisition. I think you can leave the red dot on for years with an aimpoint on one battery...that's pretty cool!!!
