What optic you say?

We just took a quick picture of one of our TA02 boxes for comparison.

The TA02 is a heavy scope at 18 oz with mount and battery. If it were me I'd look for another model. I don't know "Town Post" though...is it like kijiji where you meet up or would buddy expect you to send him cash? For a face-to-face meeting I'd be tempted to have a look at it at that price. If the guy's not on CGN it'd be hard to sell a $1000+ scope to the average rifle shooter so maybe he's looking for quick cash. I Googled up "ACOG TA02 Box" and found a few others with low-ish serial numbers (00000292 and 00001111) so that's not necessarily unusual.

It's like kijiji as far as I know and you can meet up face to face. The dude also has a TR24 for $750 which is a believable price for that. Does trijicon verify serial numbers?

Owned two TA31f's and loved them.

I went here: https://w ww.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product2.php?id=ACOG&mid=3%20x%2030
to look at the TA33's and I see only amber reticles offered but I prefer the red chevron....also other than the BDC, does it matter which chamber size one buys? Thanks.

I'd be tempted to meet up, check the box and any contents (like manuals, stickers, lens cloth, etc.) and have a look at the sight. I know the box that North_Sylva posted above is different but the one you posted looks like a Trijicon box to me.

Trijicon does verify, and from their website;

Genuine Trijicon® ACOG® scopes can be identified by three distinguishing characteristics:
1. Every ACOG® will be marked with the serial number on the top of the scope, both on the eyepiece and the main housing
2. All Trijicon® ACOG® scopes have a statement on the left side of the unit indicating that the sight contains tritium
3. The words “Trijicon® ACOG®” are forged into the main housing and appear as raised letters

If you are uncertain whether a particular item is a genuine Trijicon® product, please contact Trijicon® Customer Service at (800) 338-0563 for additional information.

Texted the guy and the acog is sold but the tr24r red triangle is still available. Is $750 a decent price for one of those? Are they even any Good?

I got my TA33 last night and had a chance to mount it on my FS2000 and take a few pictures this evening.

The first thing I did was replace the stock TA55 mount with an American Defense B2 mount—it's significantly smaller and lighter, but also mounts the scope a little lower, which works well on the FS2000 which has a little higher optic rail than an AR.

What's nice about the TA33 is that since the FS2000 has a long LOP I've got to mount the scope back quite far—the generous eye relief means that it can still clear the flip cover when it's opened.

I noticed a couple of differences between this TA33 and the one I owned in 2010, even though they're both R8 models. The first is mounting holes (for an RMR mount maybe?) just in front of the ocular lens. Here's my new one:

And my old one:

And the reticle is changed, too. The new one has red highlighting down to the first crosshair including the "4"

while the old one just had the chevron and a little bit of the vertical line.

TA33 on my FS2000 - it's staying there forever!

Also TA11 on one of my AR's... a little big and heavy, but much better eye relief and FOV than the TA31 series.

Just bought a TA50 to try on my Swiss Arms flattop... the standard ACOG's are still a bit high up for the stock on the Swiss, so hoping this low low low ACOG will be the hot ticket.

Master-G - noticed the same thing... all the new ACOG's seem to have the wings for a red dot/RMR mount... And yes the reticle is illuminated a bit 'more' as well now. Even the crosshair models have bright color in the middle, and then slightly muted down the BDC until 4.
