I'd call it a hair more than a tad. But you're right, it's not a whole lot. If you didn't pick them up back to back you'd not notice. Mostly it's the size of the receiver on the 94 which is longer to deal with rifle rounds.
If you go back to the shop to check on the Rossi see if they have a Win 94 kicking around to see them side by side and to let you heft them both.
The other thing is finding a 94 Trapper in .357. I don't see them come up that often.
