I am looking at the Ruger Mini 14 Target in 223 but need it like a hole in the head...

I also have a 9 month old son and a wife that is telling me she is not going back to work so no more money for me... :(

I will probably hold off from buying anything new this year and just do upgrades like glass bedding actions on at least 4 rifles, getting a new black/gray laminate stock for my 20" barreled s/s LSI Puma M92 454 Casull etc etc...

I will probably pick up a Sako Quad Hunter Pro in .17 HMR, I like the barreled action and now it comes with some decent wood rather than that god awful tupperware...I'm also looking at finally building a 6br or 6.5x47 L or 6.5 creedmor on a remy short action that I've had kickin' around for awhile, currently picking up parts here and there for it...Other than that, I will probably get rid of a couple that I haven't been using and concentrate on customizing a few others that I have (stocks, triggers etc).

Hoping to add to the collection this year. Would like to pick up a Mossberg 930 12ga in shadowgrass camo. A Savage/stevens bolt-action in a varmint caliber. Perhaps a Hawkins flintlock for muzzle loader deer season. Also thinking about an SKS for plinking. Oh yeah, and more milsurps :).

What rifle do you see yourself getting in 2008?

Hopefully mine will be a Tikka T3 in .260 Remington.

Why? When a Tikka T3 in 6.5x55 Swede is so much better. :D

As for me I'd be surprised if I get any new guns this year...in fact I might have less. :(

id like to get ahold of a stainless Ruger Frontier before they stop making them or some retard in government decides that 16.5" rifles are evil and they stop being sold.
and perhaps a Ruger Hawkeye in .300 win mag if they stay at the sweet $599 price.

"Other." I am starting to feel my age, lugging my full-wood Lee Enfield No4 around. I have a project for a new (to me) deer rifle in the works - refurbishing a bubbasport L-E No.4Mk2. If I am not happy with the way it turns out I think I'll be looking for a NEF Handi-Rifle or H&R Ultra in .308 to become my principal deer rifle. Really hoping to stick with the .303, though, to keep my reloading simple.
