What scope did you put on your M305?

budget of $250?
bushnell 3200 10x40

seriously- the one exception I make towards low end bushnells. Yes the turrets are a little mushy, but the glass is clear and they work.
or save a bit more and buy a sightron fixed 10 - well worth it.
I saw one on here go for $400.00

I normally have either a sightron 10x42 or an aimpoint m3.

Low bucks/good performance, u can't go wrong

Bassett mount, Leupold scope (any one you can afford). Bassett mounts work well, simple. Leupold scopes lifelong warranty and hold their value . I have an old VariXIII 3-5-10x, target turrets, mildot reticle on one and VariXII, 2-7 LR reticle on the other. I got the standard low mount and the original-Picatinney rail mount. Both work fine, the latter sits lower so no need for cheek pad. the other one a wee bit higher so you might want a pad, I don't see need for one for me. I can shoot groups equal to all my bolt guns except for my heavy barrel match rifles with either scope combo with the right ammo, so I decided to save my money and buy more ammo.

Just my 2cents

Currently, mine is wearing a Falcon FFP 5.5-25x50 on ARMS 30mm low rings and ARMS mount. I'm probably going to swap it for a Sitetron SII 8-32. The SIII is arguably a better scope, but the SII and Big Sky's can set parallax below 50 yards.

I mounted a Vism Scope, I got it at Al Flaherty In Toronto for $235. Awesome scope, dial in on the side for 50 yards to 1000, and it will change the internal cross hair for you and be right on. It has a blue or green selector for cross hairs if you want it on. I'll try and post a picture, never done one here before.

I've gone with a Nikko Euro-Diamond 1-4x24 No4 dot reticle. There is an illuminated function that works very well (both red and green) once the sun has gone down. This is a low-mid price scope that absolutely rocks- I have compared the quality to Leupolds and it falls somewhere between the VX1 and VX2's. 30mm tube and I reckon the No4 dot reticle is just perfect for both speed and precision shooting. My Norc will do just under 2" inch when shooting off my pack and after around 80 rounds of Hornady 150gr SSt's, the Sun Optics alloy scope rings failed miserably. The front ring screw (that attached to the rail) snapped off. Oh well, time to go for a pair of Warne Maxima rings. This scope is pretty heavy, but then again my Norc weighs around 12 friggin' pounds so the weight is neither here nor there. I have used Nikko scopes for some years now and their Diamond and Night Eater range have yet to fail. Plus I get them uber cheap as I have a deal with the supplier. Shame I can't attach a photo, maybe someday someone will give me permission??

So a 3-9x40 scope is plenty for you guys?

What kind of ranges do you shoot at with this kind of scope?

Yep, a 3x9 scope is more than enough. I'm not shooting at ranges over 400 yds where I hunt, so I just don't need a top-end scope.

I use a Bushnell Trophy 3x9 with the BDC reticle on my M-305 and it works just fine. It will fit into your price range too IIRC.

Ok so now i have a better idea of what to get.

Now, i need to get myself a mount and some rings.

The mount, i see most poeple using the M14.ca CASM mount but it is pricey.

Buy once, cry once. I replaced a ARMS 18 with a CASM that I should have bought in the first place. No stoppages due to spent case/ scope mount jams.

Thats good LordEvilPepper, my LGS has that one on sale right now for 210$.

theDuck: seems im better off with that one too. Well time to scrape the bottom of the drawer and get some ordering done...

Shopping for mounts, rails etc, buying a new stock. That's why I made the decision to go with the Sage EBR stock that has it all built in, I know it's costly, but it very we'll made, very accurate, looks awesome!

I thought about it but at the same time i knew i was getting a gun that i could work on for years to come.
That way, i'll never be "done" and won't get bored with it.
