I was just thinking about this some more. The idea is very good and it should not be too hard to make this gun. I was thinking that the ideal one for me would be a bead blasted stainless steel model, and painted, gunkoted, etc. That way it will have the corrosion ressistance it would need and the non glare finish I prefer.
I am not too picky about the colour. Black, green, brown, all of the above, whatever. It would also be nice if it came with some sort of cover or sleeve.
I have never hunted with a .410, but I watched a friend try to once. Couldnt hit a gopher from 20 yds.... lol. I would not be opposed to something that can put a little more lead in the air, like a 20 Ga. It really sucks to go hungry.
What about a .22wmr/20Ga vs .22 lr/.410???
For me it would depend on if the 20 Ga shells can fit in the storage compartment. I think its a big asset that you can just grab and go. The springfield .22/.410 model holds 15 x 22s and 4x .410s.
If it will, I believe that the .22wmr/20ga would be a much more effective survival gun.
Its late. I am sure I will dream about this now.
Talk to y'all soon.
