I found that too, i tried but didnt get what i wanted so my finance will be fine for futur graIts probably just me, but the prices are kinda steep in my opinion. Pretty disappointing.![]()
)Damn you, proud new K98k owner. This stupid job is really getting in the way of buying guns. I may have to choose one or the other, and I ain't to keen on my job
If it turns out I overpaid, so be it.
I picked up the 98K and the Portuguese K98.
It was a flyer on the basis of a brief description and a grainy picture, but my assumption (correct or not, time will tell) is that if they were priced on the higher end of the market by the good people at Wolverine than it is because the (unknown to me) details and condition of the rifles warranted it.
If it turns out I overpaid, so be it.

Worst case scenario is you bought too early. In a couple years we will dream of most of these prices.
If that was the $850 for a matching bcd K98 then you did not overpay based on the description. If unpeened RC's are hitting the $600 mark then the extra $250 for a matching bolt is pennies.
What year is the rifle?
Good score![]()
Otherwise though, I found the bulk of the stuff priced at premuim retail prices - almost Colelctor's Source bad. Clearly they aren't going to clear all their space quickly - just my opinion.
Yep that MAS 49 would have been a great acquisition i tried for but no successnice snag o nthe MAS49. It was the only gun that was not pre-sold that piqued my interest
I had hoped to see that Port 98 and Nambu pistol with reasonalb prices, but museums must have grabbed them
Some of the French rifles are interesting - that 1886 Lebel would be sold if I had not just bought one 2 weeks ago after looking for TEN YEARS!!!
