what to do with bird carcass

Green bin/compost or bear bait for carcasses.

"breasting out" and leaving the legs and wings is disgusting and illegal in Ontario. You are not allowed by law to permit any edible portion to be wasted or spoil.

Sorry, but breasting out is not illegal. There is certainly more edible meat on birds, but not everyone takes advantage of it. Absolutely not illegal, not sure why you would post that.

Personally I keep the heart, liver and gizzard of most of my birds as well, but most don't. To each their own, but not "disgusting or illegal" to not use everything.

Not sure. I have always left it attached after a blind visit/ inspection over in PEI many years ago

11 (1) Subject to subsection (2), no person shall possess or transport a migratory bird unless at least one fully feathered wing is attached to the bird.

(2) The wing and the plumage thereon may be removed from a migratory bird

(a) when the bird is prepared for immediate cooking; or

(b) after the bird is taken to the residence of its owner for preservation.

I’m not following you here. I have not seen either what exactly?

Regardless, I was simply questioning the claim by Doogs that it is illegal to breast out a bird. Do you also subscribe to the notion that it is illegal to discard any edible portion of a bird (wings, legs, heart, liver, gizzard, neck, back, etc.)?

Would love to watch you pluck them or pay to have them done. NOT

it is 100% ILLEGAL to permit the flesh to spoil, and unless you live in some universe where leg meat is not flesh, YOU ARE WRONG

might be your personal choice, and I don't actually disagree with the premise. But you are 100% wrong that its illegal. CO's could be laying charges all day long just from watching TV if it was.

don't spout off your opinion and claim its law. Especially when your wrong.

Morals and legal can be different. In this case your moral opinion and the legal opinion differ.

So to be clear you sir are 100% (boy I hate when people claim something is 100%) wrong.

Please post the law or regs on this, while I agree it’s wastfull to leave edible portions in th field, I’d like to see the law stating this is illegal.

I know in BC with regards to larger game they just made it mandatory to remove the neck and ribs from the field, which I do regardless. I don’t recall anything mandating this for bird or small game in the synopsis, there are rules for th disposal of carcasses with regards to proximity to people. While it can be wasteful, something in the bush will get a meal.
