What type of bullet is best for large game?

Joel. Not posting for three and a half minutes doesn’t mean you aren’t posting.

I wasn't. You're bringing me up when I am not even around. And its completely off topic. Like I said, very odd fixation.

Was here to talk about bullets and their effects on animals, man! lol.

More dishonesty…

Where is the proof to back up your claims?

R.

One post about 223 bullets and look whats happening. For hours lol.

Just bizarre.

We can get back on track! I like Partitions. They may not be the best at any particular thing, but they sure have been reliable for me. Cost has gotten pretty crazy for them, but I have a pretty solid stockpile.

If you were going on a trip of a lifetime for a large game animal in North America (bison/elk/moose etc), what ammo would you bring?
I might bump up to an A-Frame if I had the opportunity for bison on brown bear, but I’d still be comfortable with a Partition.

Noice! If you remember when Winchester used to load them covered in Moly, bought a few boxes at a store close out. The 180 gr in 30-06, obvs lol. Partition gold

They worked! Sold em to a friend with the rifle, they've accounted for some nice deer and moose.

Happy you got your stash bought before the prices went hog wild, wise man lol

EDIT: Aaaaand I'm locked from the thread again lmao

I like Speer Hot-Cors for the low price and good performance I've seen on a couple of elk. They're not super high-BC or fancy looking but for realistic hunting situations I think they're a great choice. Not that they'll do any better than a bonded, monolthic, or Partition-type design, but they do as well as any of those and I can buy 100 of them for the price of 20 or 30 of most any premium "hunting" bullet.
