What was your BEST deer shot with?

.270 WInchester in my first gun, Remington 700 SS BDL. Wish Corlanes hadn't buggered that rifle, and I was still hunting with it.
The load if I remember was 130gr Hornady Interlocks and 60grs of H4831sc.

Tough to say what my best deer is. The 2 biggest whitetails were shot with 30-06, one from a Rem 700 and the other a Husky 1600.

Biggest muley was with 6.5 55 from a 1901 Carl Gustaf

My best deer was shot with a 760 rem 30-06, I've had a few nice one shot with a rem 700 308 but none compare to this guy

I have only shot one buck, but it was with my "303 win mag" a p14 rechambered to take 300 win mag cartridge. I shot him through the top of both shoulders with a 200 grain Speer Grand Slam, he was walking behind a log, he went down hard but got back up. One to the back of the head did the trick after that.
