What was your BEST deer shot with?

140 WT in 1997, the one in my avatar..... with 300 Win Mag 200gr Speer...hey, it was one of two big game rifles I owned,...and one of my brothers had borrowed my 270.....have more rifles now,...but still looking for a bigger WT....

My first and only white tail with a Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 180 grain handload, taken less than a minute after a mule deer. This past season I used my Remington 700 BDL SS in .280 Remington for my biggest mule deer. Although a 3 x 3, the hind half went to the locker at 79 pounds. My Avatar is my son's muley taken with the above 30-06 recently scored at 156 5/8.
