and I guess by big, even tho it might not be big (like .577 Nitro Express big), I mean centerfire...so if your first rifle was a .22-250 or something, it counts.

edit - I don't own a rifle yet, but I've fired 3. an older Cooey single shot .22LR, a Marlin 30-30 and then a Mauser 98 converted to a .308 :)

6.5 Swede Mauser "sniper" version(I assume). It had the longest barrel I have ever seen on a Mauser and I sold the damn thing. I didn't even know it was special until a couple of years ago.:mad:
 
.303 Lee Enfield. Sold it in a fit of starvation, along with 3 other firearms, while attending College 14 years ago. Wish I had it back. I think I paid $125 for it 20 years ago. Probably cost $450-$500 to replace it now with current prices I see on here.
 
Model 88 308. For some crazy reason I just do not like that gun. But do not know if I can part with it either. If only I could find a gunsmith to fix that awful trigger to me!
