and I guess by big, even tho it might not be big (like .577 Nitro Express big), I mean centerfire...so if your first rifle was a .22-250 or something, it counts.

edit - I don't own a rifle yet, but I've fired 3. an older Cooey single shot .22LR, a Marlin 30-30 and then a Mauser 98 converted to a .308
