My first deer WILL be shot with a 1934 Tula Mosin Nagant. I got a scope base from S&K Mounts and a nice long eye relief scope from Wholesale Sports.

Spike Buck chest shot at approx 250 ish yds. Browning A Bolt 7mm Mag, Federal Premium 140 Nosler Partition. Hit it well, but it still ran 100 yds before it knew it was dead.

Mine was 2 years ago. Little white tail button buck, about 75 yards with a 180 grain Federal blue box through a Savage 99DL in .308, right through the boiler room. Dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Mauser in .30-06, I am not sure the exact model as it has been years since I have even seen the gun. My step-father owns it and a .243 in the exact same model. I would some day like to own a gun just like that because it was the first rifle I was ever successful with, but I don't want to pay that price tag just yet.

borrowed my brothers 308. Scope was cranked up to 10 power and buck came out 20 yards away. Scope was filled with hair so I pulled the trigger. Fell 10 feet from me, stone cold dead. I still have the horns, 35 years later.
