just wondering about everyone elses experiences. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST TASTE OF HNADGUNS ? my first was a single six...since then 14 have graced my safe (currently) ..but the single six will still hold a place in my heart....and in my never sell list !

First one I shot was my uncles Security Six 357 when I was 8. First one I bought was a Remington Rand 1911A1 45 auto when I was 19. Still have it too, quite a few years later.

First one I shot was my dads .22 revolver. I just bought my first pistol off the EE, a Norinco 1911 (I know, Im not scoring high in originality points, but hey, Norcs are cheap)

first one i shot was a Star Firestar 9mm
the first one i bought was the Norinco M213 tokarev imitation in 9mm. it was on special for 99$ back then

Besides a myriad of pellet & BB guns, the first pistol I shot was a Browning High Power in the CF. Man did that just fit my little mitts nicely! A few odd 22 pistols and revolvers since in the CF.

Now, some years later, I just completed the whole rPAL process and had my first handgun, a CZ Shadow (and Kadet kit), out to the range!

I wanted something similar to the BHP feel and an all steel pistol, something I could possibly compete with if the fancy struck me. I'm not sure it's got that BHP feel, but I think I still have the bug to get an actual one. Oh and I think I was bitten by the revolver, 1911 and polymer pistol bugs! I'm not sure how to break it to the finance minister. On a positive note, she did suggest we go out to the range together next week! Maybe she'll catch a bug - who knows! :D

The first one I shot was a Browning Buckmark...great little .22lr pistol.

The first one I bought was a Russian TT-33, which I never shot actually. I still have it, but I've never fired it, as I got my "shooting" pistols soon after.

My first time shooting a pistol was last year in June and it was a 'rented' Glock 17 (generation unknown) at one of the local ranges. I liked the experience but did not like the gun (yeah, I know....I'll pay for that :) ) Had my RPAL by October and was then torn between a Shadow or a 226. I went with the Sig and love it. Hopefully my daughter will be giving it to one of my grand kids some day. ....still want a Shadow too though!

The first pistol I shot was a .22LR. Can't remember the make. The first gun I bought is a P226. I was told for a first gun purchase, either get a cheap start or something really good.

Model 459 S&W and I never even got it home before I traded it for a 4" Model 29 that was nickel plated in a wooden presentation box. Beautiful gun but I sure developed the yips from it. Took me a while of shooting a Ruger Mk1 to get rid of them. Awesome to touch off though! Lots of buck and roar for a 19 yr old.
