Wow, that an east coast buck? That buck must have 25+" long main beams. Very nice

You are correct ....... Most deer are not that big here in NB but this fellow lived a solitary life deep in the big woods. He was caught crossing a narrow woods trail that I was watching. I'm not a serious deer hunter so no big story about my time spent in prep or hunting skills. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and was quick enough to get a shot off before he crossed.

He caused quite a stir at the register station and in the small village where we registered him. He measured 21" across (inside) with 26" beam LHS and 23" beam RHS (broken tip).

My last big game animal was an Alberta 4x4 mule deer buck, 195 yards in a steep coulee. Shot him with my 280AI and Hornady Precision Hunter 162 gr ELD-X. Shot a bit high and broke the spine, second shot through the lungs.

Winchester 1895, 405 win, Hornady 300gr factory load.
Whitetail doe @ 130 yards, High chest shot, angling away. She went about 20. Left a larger exit hole than expected.
161 lbs on the hoof, dressed 95.

I used the Benelli M4 shotgun with the field stock and power shok slug to take this guy on the 14 of Nov. This year. I was about 15 feet up in treestand he came from behind me at about 30-40 yards and after the shot he ran 30 feet and flopped down.
