what was your Longest kill shot

probably 50 yards

I have never had to shoot much past 50 yards. 50 yards was a whitetail doe with a 7mm rem mag. shortest was so close that i had to let bunny run a bit so I didn't shoot my feet off.

The average island deer are shot about 20 yards!
A 200 yard shot was an act of desperation it was a uneasy feeling shooting at the Moose.(BC interior)
long-range shooting at the range is way different from hunting I sight all my rifles in at 25 yards standing.
If you're lucky you can kneel ore rest your rifle on the stump but usually there isn't time for such luxuries .
I've known quite a few guys who have had the newest super magnums but found their bullets were traveling way too fast and would pass straight through their Elk without expanding they all went back to their trusted old 30-06 and sold the magnum!

most of my shooting is done from the 100yd to 350yd range but my best two so far are a coyote at 150yds (-/+ 20yds) paced in pretty uneven ground, moving west to east with a .17hmr federal vmax took 3 hits to bring it down, and so far my longest is a coyote (stationary) 350 yds with a .303 LE P14 w/ bushnell 4x 180gr winchester super-x

Moose hunting in Matane reserve, walking the gravel road on my way back to the camp, this humongous buck 50 inches rack is on top of the hill in the middle of the gravel road, it is far very far so that the first time i could use my in built bipod in my 308 Steyr Scout rifle, laid down prone in the mud, took my time aiming flush for the top of the shoulder, bang, i dont see it no more, wait 5 minutes and decide to walk to it, i was pretty sure it was hit but...that was the longest shot i ever took with the Scout could i have mist, anyway i got there a lot of blood on the ground and 50 feet in the wood there it laid. The day after my brother paced the distance 440 yards, one 165 grs SST in the boiler room, those .4 groups finally paid of... Cheers. P.
